Residents were entertained with an interesting slideshow of photographs from bygone days taken around some of the towns and villages in the local area.

Leonard Eardley was one of the residents watching the presentation. surprising everyone Leonard pointed to one of the photographs and said “that’s me!”

Sure enough, it was a young Leonard Eardley standing with a group of residents from Catherine Terrace, Crosshill taken sometime in the 1940’s.

Tony Zimny and Bill and Lorraine Mitchell from the Heritage Society was delighted to find that they actually had someone from one of their photographs present and Leonard was able to put names to another few of the faces in the picture. The revelation turned the presentation into a real reminiscence experience for Leonard.

The Heritage Society have since presented him with his own framed copy of the photograph to keep and Leonard has agreed to have a good look to see how many other faces he can name
