Care company honours staff with special awards

Helen McArdle Care Recognition AwardsLast Friday a North East care company honoured their staff in a special awards evening held at Newcastle Gateshead Hilton.

 

300 staff from Helen McArdle Care joined together on 4 March to see who had been successful in securing an award for their work within the company. The award categories at the ‘Helen McArdle Care Recognition Awards’ covered care, Care Home of the Year 2016 - Foxton Court - Sponsored by Bidvest Foodservicecatering, housekeeping, nursing, activities and management, with the top award being ‘Care Home of the Year 2016’. This is the third awards event hosted by Helen McArdle Care for their employees.

 

Foxton Court in Morpeth took home the most coveted award of ‘Care Home of the Year’.

Throughout November and December 2015 Helen McArdle Care asked residents, family members, healthcare professionals and staff to nominate those that they thought deserved to win an award. Senior Managers at the company then shortlisted the nominees down and staff were invited for interviews to determine the winners.

 

The presenter of the awards was the North East’s Steve Walls and sponsors of the event announced the winners to the staff on the evening. The main sponsor of the event was Bidvest Foodservice for the second year and supporting sponsors were: Barclays, Beaucare, Excel, Urban River, Northern Floorcraft, Pioneer Foodservice, Bradley Hall, Husband Brown, Innerglass, Kingswalk Law, Bradley Hall, Reward Gateway, Standex, Specsavers Healthcall, MCQ and Walter Thompson.

Helen McArdle Care is a family run care company based in the North East of England and provides nursing and residential care to 1100 elderly people from Morpeth down to Redcar. This spring Helen McArdle Care was named in the carehome.co.uk ‘Top 20 Recommended Medium Sized Care Groups’ in the UK.
