Canterbury Care Home Residents Enjoy Eggcellent Easter Events

Mary FaginResidents at Connors House Residential Home in Canterbury enjoyed a cracking Bank Holiday weekend, full to the brim of eggciting Easter activities and events.

Residents of the Craddock Road residential home got into the spirit of spring over the long weekend, by getting stuck into a variety of Easter themed activities.

As well as the traditional Easter event of making their very own spring bonnets adorned with felt bunny and chick decorations, the residents got involved with an Eggcellent chocolate egg hunt around the residential home on Easter Sunday, organised by the home’s newly appointed activity coordinator, Bev.

Christine Devlin, home manager of Connors House said of the events: “The residents all had a really great time over the Bank Holiday Weekend, the egg hunt in particular was great fun – who said that egg hunts had to be for children?

“Our new activity co-ordinator, Bev, is doing a great job of creating stimulating activities for all of the residents. We recently had a beach day within the home, as it was too cold to go out. There was sand, deck chairs, fish and chips and ice cream, the residents absolutely loved it and there are lots more fun activities in the pipeline.”
