Members of Caring Homes management team helped to ‘top out’ Belmont House in Sutton this week, their newly-built 60-bed care home for dementia and nursing care. Finishing touches to brickwork were made in the presence of construction partners Dalton Homes with the marketing suite opening on 11 April 2016.
The bright and airy C-shaped building replaces a former, discarded care home dating from the 60s. The design of large areas of glass wall allows light to cascade in throughout the day and brings the outside in. This feature offers residents the opportunity to fully enjoy the landscaped gardens from inside the building as well as from its many seating areas.
In addition to en-suite bedrooms, the home will provide a bistro area, lounges, dining and private dining rooms as well as quiet rooms and activity lounges.
Julie Mason, Senior Operations Director, Caring Homes said: “We are delighted to be opening a new state-of-the art home in the heart of the Surrey commuter belt. It is beautifully light and welcoming for residents, their friends and families, and will also be a lovely place to work.”
Belmont House is part of the Caring Homes Group which was established in 1994 by registered nurse Helena Jeffery and her son Paul. Since then the company has grown to become one of the most highly respected independent care and support providers in the UK.
