Contract for Riverside Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services is awarded to a Partnership between Avon and Wiltshire Partnership NHS Trust and The Huntercombe Group.
NHS England (South) has awarded the contract to provide Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to a unique NHS and independent sector partnership. The partners are Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) and The Huntercombe Group (THG), a leading provider of specialist mental health services, including CAMHS.
AWP NHS Trust already provides a wide range of mental health services in the local community and is a member of the consortium selected as preferred bidder for the children’s services across the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire regions. AWP and THG intend to continue to support the integration of CAMHS services across hospital and community and the Riverside staff will remain employed by the NHS.
Valerie Michie, Chief Executive of The Huntercombe Group, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by NHS England to work in close partnership with AWP and the team at Riverside. We look forward to contributing specialist expertise, supporting the Trust in building on the great work that has already been done to benefit patients throughout the region.”
Hayley Richards, Interim Chief Executive of AWP said “We are looking forward to working in partnership to offer this valuable and much needed service.”
