The panto was performed by care home staff with Abba songs to tell the story instead of using heavy scripts. It was interactive so there was lots of audience participation from the care home residents and staff.
The dining room, where the panto was held, was packed with people coming in to see the performance which had been talked about since October when rehearsals begun. The staff gave song sheets to residents to enable them to join in, sing the songs and become part of the panto. Everyone had a fantastic time with much laughter and cheer.
The cast included staff and residents: Sue Graham (home manager) playing Wicked Stepmom, Julie Ward (carer) and Paulette Keller (senior carer) playing Ugly Sisters, Rachel Turner (carer) in the role of Cinderella, Chris Cannon (carer) as Buttons, Jools Sunnerude (carer) as Prince, Janine O’Neill (carer/activities) playing Footman, Gareth
