North Norfolk ‘Housing with Care’ receives ‘outstanding’ report from CQC

Lloyd_Court_336NorseCare have confirmed that, following a recent CQC inspection of Lloyd Court Housing with care scheme in High Kelling, near Holt in North Norfolk, the scheme received an ‘outstanding’ award in recognition of the Caring element of the inspection.  The scheme, owned by Broadland Housing, comprises 40 flats where NorseCare provides personal care to people living in their own homes.

CQC’s report said: “We received high praise in relation to this service.”  It went on to say: “People who used the service and their families were enthusiastic about the service and described the care as excellent, saying care staff made efforts beyond their expectations.  The service provided a high standard of end of life care.”

Quotes from relatives and tenants in the report include:

  • “The quality of engagement and level of care provided is extraordinary.” and,
  • “After I started receiving support here a great weight was taken off my mind. All staff, from senior to junior are kind, respectful and always available.” and,
  • “This is the best eight years of my life. I have never been happier. I would not want to live anywhere else.”
  • “The managers always make time to provide support where needed, they are brilliant.”

Karen Knight, NorseCare’s Managing Director is delighted: “We’re really pleased with this fantastic report.  I’m particularly glad that CQC identified the outstanding care that we provide to the tenants at Lloyd Court.  This recognition is a real boost for all our staff at the scheme too, and is a true reflection of their hard work.”
