With the Christmas countdown thoroughly under way, Stocks Hall Care Home in Ormskirk, Lancashire got into the swing of the season with a festive fair.
On Saturday 12th December 2015, Stocks Hall Care Home in Ormskirk opened its doors to host an annual Christmas Extravaganza.
Despite the bad weather, many visitors put on their raincoats and took their umbrellas to join staff and people living at the home for a day of joy and festive spirit.
On arrival guests were welcomed with hot drinks, homemade cakes and seasonal gingerbread before moving on to enjoy the array of stalls, activities and pre-holiday shopping opportunities on offer.
Staff had created a fantastic grotto for visiting Father Christmas, which was especially enjoyed by the children who were thrilled at the opportunity to get a quick chat and even an early Christmas present for being good all year! Father Christmas said: “It was lovely to meet the guests at Stocks Hall Ormskirk again this year. They are always so welcoming, it is a pleasure to meet everyone.” Stocks Hall Ormskirk was delighted to welcome the Mayor of West Lancashire, Councillor Nikki Hennessy who joined the Christmas merriments.
