Consensus, the leading service provider that enables individuals to lead independent lives, has appointed Belinda Robinson as their new Head of Development and Partnerships (South).

 

Belinda Robinson brings over 27 years’ experience in social care working in health and the voluntary sector with people with learning disabilities and autism. She joins the organisation from Avenues Group and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in business development, quality assurance management, senior operational management of support services and practice specialists.

 

Her recent achievements have included developing award winning short breaks for young people with complex and challenging needs, a new dedicated autism outreach support service, and the creation of a range of housing and support options for individuals with learning disabilities moving from institutional care to community settings.  

 

She has also gained and retained a number of accreditations including BILD Physical Interventions Accreditation, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. She also enjoys close working relationships with the Tizard Centre at the University of Kent.

 

Belinda Robinson is excited about her new role at Consensus, and is very keen to create better lives for individuals with learning disabilities. She says: “I am passionate about people with learning disabilities and/or autism receiving the best possible support to live their lives in their local communities.  I am keen to do everything I can to make this possible.”

 

She continued: “I’m delighted to be working at Consensus as it offers housing and other support options for people, such as the development of bespoke person centered solutions that meet each person’s needs.”

Founded in 2005 by Paul and Helena Jeffery, of the renowned Caring Homes Group, Consensus was established to provide specialist support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
