Christmas coffee morning Edith Barrett with her daughterRogers House Residential Home hosted its annual festive coffee morning on Saturday 5th December, raising over £350 for residents of the home.

The Wigmore residential home hosts a festive coffee morning each December, inviting residents, relatives and friends of the home to come along for a cup of coffee and stock up on handmade gifts for the upcoming Christmas season.

This year, guests at the event were invited to browse a number of bric-a-brac stalls as well as a range of wonderful handcrafted seasonal gifts and decorations, which had been created by the very talented and imaginative volunteers of the home.

There was also a Christmas raffle to get involved with, before settling down with a cup of coffee to have a natter with one another.

Gillian Pemble, home manager of Rogers House commented: “We are very lucky to have such a great community of volunteers and supporters here at Rogers House, who are committed and enthusiastic to get involved in everything that we do.

“Our coffee morning was a great success and we’d like to thank everyone who helped with the event and all of those who came along to join us for a cup of coffee.”
