The family of Nathan Wright, the young person Zahir supports said: “He has been nominated for an award for being a great care worker who really understands our family needs.”  Each year the parent/carer members are asked to nominate individuals or groups who make a real difference to the lives of parents and carers.

Through Zahir’s dedicated care, Nathan is supported to lead a more independent life through the Timeout service.

The evening event for parents and carers was held this year at the Smokies Hotel in Bardsley, Oldham with food and refreshments being provided.

Zahir’s award was in recognition of the hard work and support he has given to Nathan and his family over the past year.

In the last 5 years POINT has grown tremendously.  Founded in 2010 with just 45 members  the Forum now has over 700 members.

Caremark (Oldham)’s care workers provide personalized care and support services to vulnerable individuals across the Borough, enabling them to live independently in their own homes as well as accessing their local community.
