Brownies join care home residents for Christmas carols


Residents sing with #8EF419The local Brownie unit stopped by at Edward Moore House for a festive visit, to catch up with residents and get in to the Christmas spirit.


On Thursday 3rd December, the local Brownie unit visited residents of Edward Moore House Residential Home in Trinity Road, Gravesend for a natter and seasonal sing-a-long.


Joined by the Brownies, the residents spent a festive afternoon getting in to the Christmas spirit singing classic Christmas carols, before chatting to one another about their plans for upcoming holiday and what they enjoy most about Christmas.


The Brownies first visited the residents of Edward Moore House in 2014 and have visited numerous times since. They have joined them for gardening activities and sing-alongs as well as earning their baking and entertainment badges.


John Ogbe, home manager of Edward Moore House said: “The local Brownie unit have visited us a number of times and the residents always look forward to seeing them and having a catch up.


“They really enjoy the activities as they always do something different, whether it’s potting plants or baking cupcakes, so the residents are already excited about the next visit!”
