Hartford Care have recently announced that they will be one of the best paying companies in the health and social care sector in our local area. As from 1st October all care staff that hold a Health and Social Care Qualification will be paid a minimum of £8.00 per hour.

This pay increase will in most cases be with immediate effect but in a small number of homes will take place early in 2016. The National Minimum wage is currently £6.70 with the National Living Wage as set by George Osborne in the autumn budget set to increase to £7.20 in April of next year. Sean Gavin feels this does not reflect the quality of staff that he sees when he visits the Hartford Homes. “I am so proud of the way our teams look after our residents and go that extra mile to ensure they enjoy a great life with us. We feel that it is only right to commit to our staff in the same way that they commit to our homes and our residents.”
