Staff and residents at High Peak Nursing Home in Cheshire were celebrating after receiving the Quality Hallmark Award at ‘Beacon Status’ in Palliative Care as part of the Gold Standards Framework, a well-respected accolade.
The Gold Standards Framework is a highly commended award which is well-recognised throughout the care sector, and Beacon status is the highest standard achievable.
In order to achieve ‘Beacon’ status, the High Peak team had to demonstrate their expertise around end of life care.
Service Manager, Sharon Brennan, and Deputy Manager, Kate Harvey, attended a celebration evening at the Mary Ward House Conference and Exhibition Centre in London to receive the award.
High Peak were also excited to receive a visit from Embrace’s Chairman, Derek Mapp. After giving Derek a tour of the home, the team proudly showed off the award.
High Peak Nursing Home is part of Embrace, and provides nursing and palliative care for older people, working in a person-centred way to identify individual goals and ambitions, focusing on enablement and the promotion of personal dignity.
Service Manager, Sharon Brennan, commented:
“I am very proud of the whole staff team. This award recognises the tremendous effort everyone puts in to providing only the highest quality care and support for residents.
We strive to meet the unique needs of each individual we support, and look forward to continuing to deliver only the highest quality of care and support in the future.”
