Guests and residents were treated to the party at Red Brick House care home, on Victoria Terrace, which was open to the community.
Staff and residents dressed up in Alice and Wonderland fancy dress for the event, and provided guests with refreshments, including tea, scones and cakes – in true Mad Hatters Tea Party fashion.
All money raised on the day went towards the Residents’ Comfort Fund, which allows for extra treats and contributions towards trips out for residents.
Prior to the party, the home organised art and craft classes for residents, who made their hats for the celebration, as well as baking sessions.
John Hope, home manager at Red Brick House, said: “It was a fantastic event for the whole community, not just the home. We are always coming up with creative ideas to engage with the public and host celebrations for our residents and the Mad Hatter Tea Party was enjoyed by all.
“The baking and art classes organised by our staff went down a treat with our residents and their creations looked fantastic on the day. I would like to thank everyone who attended and we look forward to hosting further parties in the future.”
