CLS Care Homes have been rated the best in Cheshire and fourth best in the UK according to a nationwide ranking of the top 20 residential care provider groups in terms of their compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards.
CLS, which operates 18 care homes throughout Cheshire, achieved a compliance rating of 95.5% in the rankings of care home provider groups (with more than 500 beds) published by LaingBuisson – the UK’s foremost source of data on the independent health and community care sectors. Providers were judged by the percentage of their homes fully compliant with CQC standards of quality and safety, which include standards of treating people with respect and involving them in their care, standards of providing care, treatment and support which meets people’s needs, and standards of caring for people safely and protecting them from harm.
Sheila Wood-Townend, Head of Service at CLS care Homes, commented on the ranking’s publication: “We are thrilled by these results. Not only does this show our high regard for CQC standards, but it proves our individually-tailored approach to meeting our residents’ needs delivers high quality care.”
She further commented: “The LaingBuisson rankings are a reliable and transparent measure of care providers and really help drive improvement throughout the sector. We are proud of the care we deliver at CLS, and it’s very rewarding to be recognised in rankings such as these.”
The ranking of CQC compliance standards, provided by LaingBuisson’s Care Compliance Monitor, is published quarterly.
