Prestige + Nursing-Care Industry News (250 x 104)Homecare provider Prestige Nursing Ltd has today announced it has acquired the entire issued share capital of Positive Options Homecare Ltd for an undisclosed fee. The move will further strengthen Prestige’s presence in Scotland, bringing its total number of branches to five following the acquisition of Elite Care earlier this year.

Originally established in 2010, Positive Options Homecare Ltd is based in Kirkcaldy and has a reputation for delivering high quality care services across Fife. It was previously shortlisted by Scottish Care for the Care at Home Services ‘Care Team of the Year’ Award in 2013, and received a ‘very good’ rating in a recent Care Inspectorate inspection earlier this year.

Positive Options will join over 40 existing Prestige Nursing + Care branches nationwide, which regularly deliver over 30,000 hours of care a week in total to some of the most vulnerable members of society. Prestige employs over 100 people across the UK and has more than 3,000 nurses and care workers registered with it to provide homecare and healthcare services, ranging from occasional relief care to 24 hour home nursing.

Jonathan Bruce, Managing Director of Prestige Nursing Ltd comments:

“This agreement is a major milestone in terms of expanding our presence in Scotland, and we are excited to work with the staff of Positive Options and build on the high quality of care services they provide to the residents of Kirkcaldy and surrounding areas.

“The business has played a vital role in supporting the local community and earned widespread respect for the standards it has achieved.  Prestige and Positive Options are both like-minded businesses dedicated to first-rate homecare. Following the acquisition, our combined resources will help to strengthen and extend the support we can offer to meet local needs.”
