88 Bed Dementia care home development is given a name

3251 Front Cover.psdA £10m 88 bed dementia care home development which has been in progress since March this year  has already made great headway. The care home in Bower Lane, Bridgwater, Somerset is to be called Casa Di Lusso meaning ‘House of Luxury’ in Italian.

The 5 acre site at Bower Lane, Bridgwater, Somerset is due to be finished in October next year.

The care home will be surrounded by large landscaped gardens, specifically designed for individuals living with dementia.

The interior of the care home will be state-of-the-art will feature the latest technology within the health and social care sector including a sun room, Cafe and large communal areas.

Consisting of 66 en-suite bedrooms and 22 close care apartments;  all rooms will be individually decorated and will have under floor heating, intelligent movement sensors, nurse call system, plus all the normal creature comforts designed for modern day living.  The home will also feature a petting farm, something that has become a signature trademark alongside their other purpose built care homes and will be home to alpacas and other small petting animals.

Proposed Site PlanNunzio Notaro, Managing Director said;

‘The home will be opening its doors in October 2016’.

‘This will follow a recruitment campaign where we are looking to employ up to 120 staff to run and operate the home’.
