Care Home Open Day is always a special event at Hicare Homes. Fully embracing the values and ideals that Care Home Open Day promotes Hicare homes are always working diligently to challenge the stereotypes in residential care.
Hicare Homes, Meadow’s Court and Spencefield Grange, hosted Sports Day for Care Home Open Day 2015. Residents and visitors enjoyed participating in table football, hockey, crazy golf, bowling as well as many more games and activities. Spencefield Grange was also honoured with a visit from the local firefighters, who showed everyone around the fire engine, and got involved with all of the activities.
Meadow’s Court staff all dressed up as cartoon characters, this was greatly admired by the residents who all had fun and giggles trying to guess which character there were.
Care Home Open Day 2015 was a massive success and it helped us dispels the myths of residential care in our community.
