Voyage Care, one of the UK’s leading providers of support for adults with learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries, has appointed Andrew Cannon as its new chief executive officer with effect from 25 August 2015.
Mr Cannon is currently managing director of Care Services UK for Bupa, where he has worked for the last ten years, bringing with him a strong track record in the residential care sector.
Passionate about delivering high quality care, in his new role he will be responsible for expanding Voyage Care’s existing portfolio of services in the UK, with particular emphasis on registered and supported living, as well as specialist support. This will be achieved via a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
Gavin Simonds, chairman of Voyage Care, said: “I am delighted Andrew will be joining us and his appointment marks the start of a new and exciting chapter in Voyage’s history. Under his leadership, I’m confident we will be able to achieve our vision of becoming the UK’s ‘first choice’ care company for people with learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries. His expertise in customer service and operational excellence will be a significant asset to the business.”
Andrew Cannon said: “I am excited to be joining Voyage Care to lead the next phase of its development. The business has a committed and talented staff team and a strong reputation with those who commission and use its services. I am looking forward to building on these strengths to grow the business whilst continuing to deliver the highest standards of care.”
Mr Cannon will take over from Andrew Winning, Voyage Care’s chief financial officer, who has been acting as interim CEO during the recruitment process.
