On 17th June 2015, Gloucester House in Sevenoaks, Kent, changed hands from AgeCare to Greensleeves Homes Trust, an award-winning care home charity which provides care to more than 675 residents at its 18 care homes across Midlands, Southern and Eastern England.

Gloucester House is an attractive addition to the portfolio of Greensleeves care homes. The home is situated just one mile from Sevenoaks High Street and provides outstanding residential, dementia and nursing care, while enabling the residents to retain their freedom to organise and manage their own lifestyles.

As a highly innovative provider of care for older people, Greensleeves Homes Trust has successfully introduced the Eden Alternative approach to care in many of its care homes and will be extending these principles at Gloucester House. The Eden framework seeks to improve the quality of life for residents and provides a framework to transform traditional approaches to care into the creation of communities where older people may grow and thrive.

Paul Newman, Chief Executive of Greensleeves Homes Trust commented: “We are delighted to welcome one of the top nursing homes in Sevenoaks to the Greensleeves family. We look forward to working with the residents, relatives, staff and the local community in Sevenoaks to ensure Gloucester House remains a thriving and happy place to live and work”.
