Specialist care provider Glen Care has appointed Darasana Karki as the new Director of Nursing and Hospital Director at Glenhurst Lodge in Maidstone.
Darasana brings many years of private healthcare experience to the role, working in hospitals that focus on mental health and learning disabilities. Darasana specialises in a variety of different disciplines and care methods, including Autism, locked rehabilitation and low-secure care. Qualified since 2003, she gained a Masters Degree in 2007.
In her new role, Darasana will work as Glenhurst Lodge’s Director of Nursing and Hospital Director. She will provide clinical leadership and management to the nursing staff and oversee the day to day running of the hospital.
Glenhurst Lodge is an intensive locked rehabilitation unit (controlled access) for service users stepping down from secure units. The bespoke rehabilitation programme is provided to help services users re-integrate into the community. The focus is on gaining the necessary daily living skills, coping strategies and insight to be able to live in the community independently or with minimal support.
