Manorcourt Homecare, the homecare services division of residential care provider Healthcare Homes, has announced the opening of a brand new homecare branch located in Baystrait House in Biggleswade. As part of its launch, the branch is also introducing a brand new bespoke care service called ‘My Way’, which is a private-pay initiative that enables individuals to choose the level of care they want to receive in their own homes.
The ‘My Way’ initiative lets individuals select the care they need, at the times they want and on the days that suit them. This can include anything from a temporary service, for example to enable individuals to return home from hospital to recuperate in their own surroundings, yet with the support of professional carers, to arranging 30 minute ‘pop-in’ calls for comfort breaks, medication support or safety checks, through to more intensive 24-hour or live-in care.
The aim of the homecare bespoke package, is to provide the vital support services to people in Biggleswade and the surrounding villages, yet enabling them to continue to live independently in their own homes, with 100% confidence.
Rosemary Judd, Regional Manager for the new Biggleswade branch said: “We look forward to supporting people across the Biggleswade area with their care needs. Our friendly and approachable team are able to provide assistance with a wide range of needs, from organising personal care routines, to assisting with a simple pop-in service, through to more complex care support packages and 24/7 live in care. We are on-hand to offer guidance to people that may be looking to use our tailored My Way care service and therefore encourage the local community to give us a call or pop in to the branch for more information on how we can help.”
The new Biggleswade branch will be run by registered manager, Amanda Pack, who brings twelve years of health and Social Care Management experience to Manorcourt Homecare. Amanda will be supported by an experienced team, including care advisors and care coordinators, all of which have worked in the health and social care sectors for many years.
Manorcourt Homecare specialises in providing care services for people who wish to remain living in their own homes for as long as possible. In addition to the My Way package, services from the new Biggleswade branch include providing personal care routines, such as bathing and dressing; domestic tasks such as washing, ironing, cleaning, cooking and shopping; live-in care for short or long term periods and respite placements into residential care homes.
Adds Mike Osborne, Managing Director of Manorcourt Homecare said: “Whether you require assistance on a regular or temporary basis, our flexible range of services means that we can provide as little or as much support as is needed, for as long as required. Our care workers are all meticulously trained to provide the highest standards of care, to meet our strict quality requirements, including those laid down by the Health & Social Act 2008. Our care is all about the individual and we take the time to understand the needs and wishes of everyone we meet.”
