A Newcastle care home has announced the appointment of an experienced health care professional.
Hillfield Nursing Home, which is based in Elswick, has welcomed Kevin Mulvey, who possesses more than 40 years’ experience in the care industry, to the role of home manager.
Kevin has worked in a variety of care settings, including elderly and mentally infirm care in both the public and private sector, gaining more than 40 years’ experience in the healthcare industry.
Based on Grainger Park Road, Hillfield Nursing Home provides nursing care for 42 elderly residents.
As part of Akari Care’s £15 million investment programme in its homes throughout the UK, Hillfield underwent major refurbishment work last year, which included both interior and exterior work. The home, in its latest CQC report, was also found to be fully compliant in all standards of care set by the regulator.
Mr Mulvey said: “I am delighted to be joining Hillfield Nursing Home as home manager and becoming part of an extremely reputable organisation in the healthcare sector.
“I will apply my wealth of knowledge and experience in the sector to my new role, which will be challenging, but extremely rewarding and fulfilling.
“The home has excellent facilities, which have been enhanced following last year’s refurbishment, and I am looking forward to building upon the fantastic CQC report the home received – we won’t rest on our laurels, but will continue to offer high-quality person-centred care and support for all residents.”
