Sunningdale care home hosts festive community cheese and wine evening


Sunningdale-care industry newsDormy House care home in Sunningdale played host to the local community this week as it opened its doors for a festive cheese and wine evening.


The guests included the town’s Mayor, Councillor Richard Kellaway, his wife Mrs Mary-Lou Kellaway, and the home’s local vicar.


Dormy House Manager Kay Wainwright explained the importance of such events:


‘We always enjoy the opportunity to welcome the local community and we were keen to put on this event to thank those people who have supported our staff and residents throughout this year. We were pleased that some of our residents’ relatives could also join us for the evening, which was a perfect start to the Christmas festivities.’


The event was held to thank everyone who had supported the home during 2014 and guests were treated to a wide range of cheeses and fine wine in the lounge.


Located in Sunningdale adjacent to the world-renowned golf course, Dormy House provides residential, nursing and specialist dementia care to up to 88 elderly ladies and gentlemen
