Partnerships in Care Group Chief Executive, Joy Chamberlain, was voted the 11th most influential healthcare leader in the UK’s independent sector this year by readers of the Health Investor journal, at a presentation announced in London on 27th November. This is the third year in a row that Joy has featured in this list of 50 outstanding individuals who have made major and sustained contributions to independent healthcare.
Health Investor magazine describes the Power 50 listing as “recognising those in the independent sector who are affecting real change and shaping the independent health market.”
Joy was appointed Group Chief Executive in February 2012. She joined Partnerships in Care as Commercial Manager in 1998. She has inspired cultural commitment to high quality care, innovation and clinical leadership within PiC.
Joy’s experience, knowledge and leadership capabilities are very evident in PiC’s continued position in specialist secure care, in particular her successful management of two transfers of ownership, the most recent this year being our joining leading US healthcare provider, Acadia, as well as her appointment as Chair of the Independent Mental Health Services Alliance (IMHSA) which helps to influence healthcare policy.”
