Eminence Care Ltd, owner of Rose Lodge Care home in Exmouth, has received a seven figure loan from its new banking partner, The Royal Bank of Scotland to extend their existing care home by creating a new community for people living with dementia. This will further their dementia care provision in East Devon, taking their total bed count to 33 to meet local demands.
Peter de Groot, Director at Eminence Care Ltd was looking to switch his full banking facilities to a bank willing to fund his latest expansion plans. Nick Connors from RBS has vast experience with care home operators and was able to provide the sizeable funding package to refinance their existing bank facilities and to financially support the extension. Work is underway and the project is forecast to be completed by March 2015.
Peter de Groot, Director at Eminence Care Ltd said, “I couldn’t be prouder with the commitment and hard work from all of the team and the quality of care we provide at Rose Lodge.
“It is an unusual sensation to feel valued by a bank, and I am talking here about the teamwork shown over the past few months with Nick at RBS as we have come on board. Nick has been a tremendous support in terms of his expertise displayed throughout but also by going above and beyond to make the transition to RBS a smooth one, for which I am very grateful”
“The new community is underway and I look forward to welcoming our new residents in the spring as we extend our specialised care in Exmouth.”
Nick Connors, Healthcare Relationship Director at RBS, added, “It has been a delight working with Peter from the outset and I welcome him to RBS. From what I have witnessed so far, Peter is more than deserving of his latest award as it recognises the team effort that goes in every day to make Rose Lodge a welcoming place to be. I can’t wait to see the finished project next spring and wish Peter all the luck as the project evolves.”
