A truly Christmas extravaganza took place this weekend for Stocks Hall St Helens Care Home. The event was held at St Helens Cricket Club which is adjacent to the Stocks Hall Nursing Home.
People living at Stocks Hall, family, friends and staff joined together for a very memorable afternoon.
The event began with the children sitting around the tree hearing the traditional tale of ‘Twas the night before Christmas’.
The afternoon unfolded with pantomime style acts, singing, Christmas music, food and wine.
The atmosphere captured within the cricket club lodge was truly magical and was likened to a Christmas lap land experience. Legs were tapping, adults and children dancing, smiling, joyful faces filled the air.
This was a truly wonderful and amazing show. Everyone agreed the whole event from beginning to end captured the true meaning of Christmas.
During the final song “Feed the World … don’t they know it’s Christmas time” it was extra special to see Stocks Hall staff doing just that. Loving, caring, helping, supporting, feeding….. caring for nutritional needs and supplying entertainment of such high quality. As Stocks Hall realise meeting social needs for the people entrusted to their care and supporting their families and friends, is of great importance in caring for the whole person/s as a whole.
A fabulous time was had by all.
Happy Christmas from all at Stocks Hall Nursing & Care Group.
