An Ayrshire care home is truly capturing the season of good-will by opening its door to relatives for Christmas day.
Bupa’s Claremont Care Home, in Ayr, has revealed it will be hosting the relatives of residents who don’t have any plans for Christmas.
Carol Barr, Home Manager at Bupa’s Claremont Care Home, believes the provision of care should be demonstrated to all – especially during the holiday season.
She said: “Some our residents have relatives with no one at home for Christmas and no other plans, so we were delighted to invite them to the home.
“We are looking forward to Christmas day and residents at the home are looking forward to celebrating with their loved ones.
“This can be a lonely time of year for many people and we just want to show that care should cross all boundaries.”
Claremont Care Home also recently held a string of festive themed events such as a Christmas jumper day and a carol singing afternoon for residents and relatives
