Staff at a Bupa care home in Edinburgh found themselves onto a winner after a race night raised more than £700 to fund future events and activities for residents.
Residents at Bupa’s Braid Hills Care Home joined staff, friends and family for the event held in the city’s Liberton Rugby Club.
Funds from the event, organised by activities coordinator Barbara Thomson and administrator Pauline Ritchie, will go towards organising innovative and inspiring events and activities for the residents.
Barbara said: “It was a brilliant night, the atmosphere was great and we are thrilled about the amount of money we raised.
“We know that our activities programme is hugely popular with our residents so we are looking forward to planning a whole host of new events and attractions.
“We couldn’t have wished for the fundraiser to go any better – we are all looking forward to organising the next one.”
