Richmond Park MP Zac Goldsmith delighted Residents, relatives and staff at Galsworthy House Nursing Home, part of the Caring Homes Group family, by helping the home to launch exciting new recruitment and training initiatives.
The beautiful Galsworthy House – formerly home to Sir John Galsworthy, the novelist and playwright best remembered for The Forsyte Saga – was chosen by Caring Homes Group to host the launch of a range of new initiatives designed to attract the best members of staff and to ensure they receive the very best training. The initiatives launched included a dedicated recruitment website and the Helena Jeffery Care Academy, which provides hands-on training to nurses and carers.
The newly launched recruitment website is designed to encourage the brightest and the best to apply for roles at the growing organisation and provides a single portal to access an array of inspiring jobs.
The MP also helped celebrate the launch of the Helena Jeffery Care Academy, which provides hands-on training to newly recruited nursing staff and carers before they start on the floor or in the ward.
The company will also be providing additional resources for new employees, including the payment of professional fees and a new Voluntary Employee Benefits scheme, which offers retail discounts at over 8,000 locations nationwide.
Zac Goldsmith, MP for Richmond Park, said:
“I was delighted to be able to meet with Residents, relatives and staff at Galsworthy House. It’s always a pleasure to spend time with such important members of our community.
“The quality of care and support that nursing and care homes provide is of the utmost importance and I’m proud to help celebrate these new initiatives which aim to recruit the very best staff and to ensure that they receive quality training.”
Laird MacKay, Managing Director of Caring Homes Group, said:
“It was incredibly exciting to be able to launch these initiatives with the Residents, relatives and staff at Galsworthy House along with our local MP, Zac Goldsmith.
“Caring Homes Group is incredibly privileged and proud to provide excellence in care to those we support. We are very aware of the critical role that staff play in providing high quality care and that is why we’re launching initiatives to ensure that we continue to recruit the very best and that we provide staff with effective learning and development resources.
“We’re all looking forward to seeing the positive impact that these programmes have on all of our Caring Homes Group homes.”
