Trevor Lyttleton MBE MA LLM (Cantab), Founder and Chairman of Contact the Elderly, has been appointed as Patron by Solicitors for the Elderly.
This appointment comes after more than 50 years of practice as a Solicitor in commercial, music copyright, media and elderly client law in London. Trevor also acted as Panel Deputy and adviser in Court of Protection matters.
Trevor’s longstanding expertise in handling dementia-related and challenging elderly legal cases, and his experience with Contact the Elderly, gives him a unique understanding of the needs of isolated elderly.
Trevor hopes this appointment will increase support for Contact the Elderly as the Charity moves into its 50th Golden Jubilee Year.
Trevor Lyttleton MBE, Founder and Chairman, Contact the Elderly, says:
“I am greatly honoured to be appointed as Patron of Solicitors for the Elderly, an honour I share with Contact the Elderly’s dedicated staff and volunteers.
“I welcome these closer ties between SFE and Contact the Elderly which I hope will encourage further social care links between Solicitors and older clients to their mutual benefit.
“As we head into Contact the Elderly’s 50th Jubilee Year, we value SFE’s support and with the aim to recruit more volunteers to assist us in alleviating the neglect of a million elderly.”
Lakshmi Turner, Chief Executive, Solicitors of the Elderly, says:
“Given the great service Trevor has done for both the legal profession and for the elderly, we thought Trevor would be an excellent choice as one of SFE’s Patrons. We approached Trevor and are delighted that he has accepted”
