Acting on behalf of Millie & John Barnes, who had operated the business for over 28 years, Christie + Co discreetly marketed the 28 bedroom Nursing Home, receiving a strong level of interest from both first time buyers and existing operators.
The care home, renowned locally for its excellent level of care and dedicated staff team, caters for older people with a dementia diagnosis who need nursing care. Woodstock also specialises in end of life care.
The acquisition of Woodstock brings the number of care homes owned by Coate Water to seven, and complements the recently opened Chapel House Care Centre in Horton Road, Gloucester.
Geraldine Smith, Director of Coate Water Care, comments: “We are thrilled to acquire Woodstock Nursing Home which fits perfectly into our portfolio. We are looking forward to working with the team at Woodstock to ensure the highest level of care is maintained for our clients.”
Rob Kinsman, Director of the Healthcare Team in Bristol, says:”Having owned and operated the business for well over 28 years, Millie and John are delighted to be handing the businesses over to Coate Water Care who have an excellent reputation in the region.”
He adds: “Interest in the business was strong with a number of offers received — this underlines the high level of buyer demand we are experiencing in the market this year.”
Woodstock was sold for an undisclosed sum in October 2014.
