The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit care home providers for older people, is delighted to announce the appointment of its new HR Director, Sara Wright.
With 25 years’ HR experience, Sara has worked in a wide variety of sectors – from food manufacturing and retail to utilities and e-commerce.
A human resources expert with an MBA and MA in Coaching & Mentoring, Sara is well-versed in all aspects of her field. With a background in FTSE 250 companies, Sara plans to utilise her experience to implement new practices within OSJCT that will ensure high quality care is delivered to residents via dedicated employees.
Her key responsibilities with the Trust will be creating an environment where employees can be at their best for the benefit of residents while providing high quality care. The role encompasses all aspects of HR, with a particular focus on continuing to provide first class training, encouraging personal growth and ensuring the appointment of high quality home managers.
Sara commented: “Recruitment is a particular problem for the sector, not just OSJCT, and, as such, I hope to help the Trust make some real steps forward in terms of increasing our visibility to potential employees.
“It’s evident that once people start working for us they love it, but our employer brand in the market could benefit from a boost that ensures we have a large pool of diverse talent to choose from when new vacant roles arise.
“I’ve been very inspired by the commitment and dedication of our people to always keep our residents front of mind. OSJCT’s culture is its key strength, and I look forward to utilising the HR function to continue embedding this into everything we do, from appraisals to training.”
