The Orders of St John Care Trust (OSJCT), one of the UK’s largest not-for-profit care home providers for older people, is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Strategy Director, Sara Livadeas
With 20 years’ experience, Sara has most recently worked as a Commissioner with Oxfordshire County Council (OCC), leading on the commissioning of services for adults of all ages and for children.
A qualified social worker with an MBA, Sara is well-versed in strategic planning, having managed a large pooled budget jointly with the NHS, in addition to managing communications teams and leading on engagement activity, performance and information management. In her former role with OCC, Sara most recently implemented an improvement programme that aimed to put individuals in control of the support that they receive day-to-day. She was also instrumental in abolishing 15-minute domiciliary care visits for older people in Oxfordshire.
Her key responsibilities with OSJCT will be leading on new developments for the Trust, building upon its ethos of providing high quality care homes and its expertise in caring for people with dementia.
Sara commented: “I am really proud to be working for such a progressive organisation like OSJCT. I think the way that we are using the latest in building design, called the household model, to create a personalised care environment for people to live in is brilliant.
“We have a great team of compassionate and well-trained staff in our homes which will underpin the expansion of our services into new areas so that more people can benefit; such as care at home for people with dementia and their families.”
