West Yorkshire healthcare furniture and equipment manufacturer James Spencer & Co Ltd, which remains a leading supplier to UK hospitals and care homes, has unveiled its latest and biggest-ever catalogue.
The 375-page edition showcases literally dozens of new products to run alongside the company’s existing ranges, including many own-manufacture chairs, suites and recliners. There are also sections dedicated to Challenging Environments and Bariatric Furniture, areas in which the company both specialises and have seen tremendous growth.
James Spencer’s chairman Richard Spencer said: “We have produced catalogues regularly over the 66 years since our foundation, but this edition has to be our best to date. I would like to thank our suppliers and staff, but most of all our customers who reorder from us with confidence, as they continue to appreciate the quality, service and value my company strives to achieve.
“We manufacture hundreds of recline, recline lift and rise chairs every year, including healthcare chairs, all purpose-designed to be easily cleaned to reduce risks of cross infection. We have also introduced an anti-bacterial chair, which is a massive move forward for all healthcare environments.”
Cross infection reduction has been highlighted over recent years and James Spencer’s platinum award-winning Stalham range of commodes, sani-chairs and shower chairs continues to be in increasing demand from hospitals and other care providers across the UK. Added to that, the company has introduced bedside chairs and recliners, which are quick to clean.
Mr Spencer explained: “If it’s easy to clean it will be cleaned, because on many of our products we ‘manufacture out’ as many as possible of the nooks and crannies which harbour bacteria.
“We also listen to what our customers’ needs are and act accordingly. You only have to look at our Challenging Environment and Bariatric furniture – it’s strong, attractive, safe and will last – and that’s just what our customers want.”
