Craegmoor, part of the Priory Group of Companies, has invested £150,000 to create a new residential facility in Lincolnshire to support people with mental health conditions including personality disorders.

Middlegate Lodge, which is close to the market town of Caistor and is set in extensive grounds, will provide high quality accommodation for service users who no longer need hospital care.

Middlegate Lodge will complement nearby Glebe House.  Middlegate Lodge, which is managed by Jan Willis, who also oversees nearby Glebe House, will work between the two services along with other staff to enable a seamless transition for service users to more independent living.

Middlegate Lodge, which has five bedrooms, one studio apartment and well-appointed and decorated communal rooms and areas, will provide service users with access to an experienced team, including qualified practitioners, who will focus on therapeutic interventions and continuity of care.

The new service will create up to 10 new jobs.

Sarah Hughes, Managing Director of Craegmoor, said:  “This service for individuals, who require specialist support for mental health needs, will bring high-quality, much needed care provision to Caistor and the surrounding area.

“The experience Craegmoor and the Priory Group has in mental health, complex and long term care will enhance the care provision for the area.”

The investment has seen a complete renovation of the building to very high specifications to provide high quality accommodation for residents.

Sarah Hughes added: “The focus at Middlegate Lodge will be providing care and support to suit a person’s individual requirements with the emphasis being on rehabilitative treatment programmes.

“Middlegate Lodge will complement Craegmoor’s Glebe House with the two facilities working together to help prepare people, who have experienced mental illnesses, for a life back in the community.”
