A local singing duo who entertain residents at Magna Care Centre near Wimbourne were presented with a £100 cheque for their chosen charity recently.
The Pastimers often visit the care centre and sing classic tracks from bygone days, which the residents at the Arrowsmith Road home thoroughly enjoy. During their recent visit staff and residents presented them with a £100 cheque from funds raised during a recent fun day.
Magna Care Centre Manager Heidi Williams said:
“The Pastimers are genuinely really lovely people and they recently entertained us at our fun day. They don’t take any money for themselves but instead ask for a donation their chosen charity. We were delighted to present them with the £100.”
The Pastimers, aka ‘Curly’ and ‘Crusher’ chose Macmillan Cancer as their charity this year and the money will be given to the local Christchurch branch.
