Jewish Care, the social care charity which provides support to 7000 older people and their families each week, has won the ‘Mind the Gap’ category and ‘Digital World’ category in a competition run by Age Action Alliance. The charity will receive a prize of £100 worth of Currys PC World vouchers as well as a £100 donation.
Ellisa Estrin, Assistant Director at Jewish Care said, “We are delighted to have won in two categories of the photo competition. The ‘Mind the Gap’ category recognises our intergenerational work in our day centres that helps to tackle social isolation and we are also thrilled that our work with technology has been appreciated in the ‘Digital World’ category. We will be putting the money towards a new tablet computer for one of our Dementia Day Centres so members can benefit from interacting digitally and connecting online.”
