A local dignitary attended the popular annual summer fete at Ferfoot care home in Chippenham recently.
Staff and residents at the specialist dementia home, part of the Caring Homes group, were delighted when the Mayor of Chippenham, Councillor John Scragg, paid them a visit.
Activities taking place during the fete included a tombola, raffle, and a barbecue. There were also a number of stalls including one called ‘soak the staff’.
Residents and staff at Ferfoot always enjoy their annual fete and this was no exception. Ferfoot Manager Nicki Stone was thrilled with the turnout:
‘We were delighted that the event went to so well,’ she said. ‘Our staff worked hard to organise the fete and our residents and visitors thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thankfully the lovely British summer we’re enjoying at the moment made all of the difference; the sun was shining and we all had a great time.’
Situated in the attractive market town of Chippenham, Ferfoot provides the highest level of residential dementia care for up to 52 elderly people. The home is run by the family-owned Caring Homes Group, which was founded in 1994 by mother and son team, Helena and Paul Jeffery.
