First resident welcomed at York care home

Mark Greaves, Managing Director of Ideal Care Homes this week visited Ebor Court Care Home in Nether Poppleton, to officially welcome its first resident Mr Brian Potts, who moved into the home to enjoy the new luxurious facilities.

 

Mr Brian Potts was presented with a gift box of Newcastle Brown Ale (his favourite tipple) to welcome him to the home. 

 

Brian Potts was born in Gateshead in May 1943 and is one of four children. The family moved to York when Brian’s father moved to a new job in the area.

 

Brian has worked in the transport industry most of his life as a heavy goods mechanic, a lorry driver and a transport manager for the Danish Bacon Company. He also used to drive coaches all around the country.in his spare time, Brian really enjoyed going to vintage truck rallies. He has three sons and five grandchildren.

 

Ebor Court is a new luxurious home from home facility boasts 100% en-suite bedrooms. Ebor is one of 37 homes operated by Ideal Care Homes.

 

The home was built by sister company LNT Construction, both part of the Leeds-based LNT Group owned by Lawrence Tomlinson. 

 

Ideal Care Homes also operates homes in Thirsk and Leeds.
