Castleoak has started work on a luxury £12.4m independent retirement living development in Weybridge, Surrey, for returning customer Anchor – England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care to older people.

The 65 one- and two-bed luxury apartments with riverside views will be exclusively for sale and offer contemporary living at its finest.

Designed to the highest specification, communal facilities will include a hair and beauty salon, treatment room, coffee shop, restaurant, lounge, reading room and landscaped gardens.

As well as a thriving local community, residents will benefit from the peace of mind of a tailored care package and plan from Anchor.

Jon Schofield, Head of Construction at Anchor, says: “Anchor is very happy to be working with Castleoak again in the development of our new independent living scheme called Austin
Place.
“Castleoak has a long history in successfully delivering these types of schemes to a very high standard and we are very excited to see this scheme develop and be part of our growing portfolio.
“We have worked collaboratively to agree the detail required to take this scheme from its concept to a start on site. This team effort I’m sure will continue through to the completion of
what will be a very successful scheme.”

Craig Currie, Managing Director of Construction at Castleoak, says: “Anchor is a valued Castleoak customer of 14 years. We are delighted to be the design and construction partner
for this luxury development and look forward to working with Anchor to create exceptional homes for retirement living.”
