The Huntercombe Centre, Derby participated in this year’s Race for Life 5K fun run, raising over £200 for Cancer Research UK.

Staff and patients from The Huntercombe  Centre in Derby donned their pyjamas on Sunday 13th July 2014 to take part in this year’s Race for Life 5K fun run to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

 

One of the UK’s leading specialist health care provider’s saw its Derby team dress up in coordinating pink pyjamas to encourage people to dig deep into their pockets and raise vital funds to fight cancer. The keen runners truly stood out, with the team joining hundreds of other women taking part to raise money for the charity.

 

After completing the race in an impressive 1 hour and 16 minutes, the ‘Pyjama Party’ raised a grand total of £206.50.

 

 

 

 

Caroline Taylor, Regional Manager for The Huntercombe Centre, Derby, said, “The ladies did a fantastic job in completing the race in such good time and we are very proud to support such a worthwhile cause. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was a great way to bring the whole of the Centre community together.”

 

The Huntercombe Centre in Derby provides specialist care for women with mental health conditions and complex needs.
