Charters Village, the purpose-built village for the over 65s in East Grinstead, is one of only four schemes in the UK to be shortlisted for a national retirement property award.
The village off Felcourt Road is now half complete, and includes a care home and a separate daycare centre for the local community to use.
“We are delighted to be shortlisted,” said Sarah Burgess, sales and marketing director. “We are very proud of the village and what it provides for the local population.”
The annual Housebuilder Awards recognise the very best property projects across the country and are judged by some of the industry’s leading experts.
If successful, the local retirement village will carry the honour of ‘Best Retirement Scheme’ in the UK. Judging is now underway and the winner will be announced in the Autumn.
