Manchester based New Care Projects has revealed plans for a new 82 bed care facility in Nottingham, worth £7 million.

The industry leading care home operator has acquired its first site outside of the North West.  The land, which reaches 1.8 acres, is situated in West Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe.

New Care currently operates two care homes in the North West, in Urmston and Timperley, with the group trading at 96% occupancy.  Its guiding principle ‘better buildings provide better care’ is a concept that clearly works and New Care now plans to roll it out nationally, starting in East Midlands.

The facility proposed is a purpose-built care home that will cater for the aspiring needs of its residents.  Each well-appointed bedroom will enjoy en suite shower facilities while the home itself will boast a cinema room, a snoezelen room and a retail coffee shop.

With its hospitality and client services team providing hotel-style services, such as concierge and fine dining, to residents and relatives, New Care is unique in the sector in its approach to delivering exceptional quality care homes with a high class and dignified offering for its clients.

Chris McGoff, CEO at New Care, says: “New Care’s site acquisition in Nottingham is great news.  The Midlands was a conscious choice for us as the region, like the North West, allows for a tight geographic cluster of care homes.

“As this purpose-built care home is our first outside our North West heartland, the plans are superb.  It promises to be a truly modern, high quality care facility with a first class service.”

McGoff & Byrne will design and build the facility in West Bridgford.  Recently named SME of the Year 2014 at the North West Regional Construction Awards, the principle contractor has been responsible for the design and build of New Care’s two care centres in the North West, with both projects being shortlisted for numerous industry awards.

New Care Projects is the operator of two industry leading care homes; Allingham House Care Centre in Timperley and Manorhey Care Centre in Urmston.  Both homes boast an exceptional clinical offering, including residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, in an expertly designed and purpose-built environment.
