A Barnet woman received an award from the council last week after demonstrating excellence and dedication in her work as a carer at the Sydmar Lodge Care Home in Edgware.
Gladis Koswatta, who first joined the team at Sydmar Lodge in 2006, received the London Borough of Barnet Adult and Communities ‘Excellent Care Award’ at a ceremony on Monday.
Gladis was nominated by her Manager, Abigail Khandaker, after consistently providing fantastic care for the residents at Sydmar Lodge.
After receiving her award, Gladis was presented with a bouquet of flowers by the Sydmar Lodge team.
Gladis commented on her award;
“It is lovely to be honoured for my work in this way. It was so nice to just be nominated, so it’s wonderful to receive this accolade.”
Abigail Khandaker, Manager at Sydmar Lodge, commented;
“Gladis is a dedicated and caring member of staff, so I decided to nominate her for this award to recognise her achievements. We are really proud of all our staff here at Sydmar Lodge and for a member of the team to receive an honour such as this is fantastic.”
