The Huntercombe Group’s Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre has appointed Dr. Louise Reid as its new Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Dr. Alastair Weir as its new Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine.
Prior her new post, Dr. Reid worked at several different hospitals in Scotland as a clinical psychologist for NHS Lothian, focusing in particular on brain injury rehabilitation. In addition, she is a visiting lecturer for the University of Edinburgh’s Clinical Psychology Training Programme and has Chartered status with the British Psychological Society. Dr. Reid will also receive her Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology that is awarded by the BPS this coming summer. Dr. Reid has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and PGdip in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Glasgow.
Since 1995, Dr. Weir worked as a Neuro-Rehabilitation Consultant at Southern General Hospital in Glasgow in which he specialised in Acquired Brain Injury cases. He has published extensively on a variety of neurological conditions and surgical cases, and is a Member of both the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine and Society for Research in Rehabilitation.
