Another care home group is also taking part in National Care Home Open Day by inviting the public into their care homes for fun days across the region.
Executive Care homes in Newcastle, Sunderland, South Shields and Scarborough will open their doors and welcome in families and potential residents as part of National Care Home Open Day on June 20th.
The care centres will put their best foot forward to show potential residents, their families and the local community the facilities they offer, as well as an example of some of the regular social activities put on by staff.
Attractions such as a vintage 1950’s bus with period conductors, war time entertainers, freshly made high tea prepared by their professional in-home chefs, BBQ’s, World Cup themed activities, tombola’s and raffles.
Care home staff and management have pledged to be on hand to answer any questions about residents care needs and requirements, as well as information on entertainment, nutritional queries and general questions about what they can provide.
The homes involved, including Oakdale Lodge, South Shields, Ashwood Court, Sunderland, Pembroke Lodge, Walkergate, Newcastle, Sovereign Court and Sovereign Lodge, both based in Westerhope, Newcastle, Derwent Care Home, Low Westwood, Newcastle, Eagle View, Scarborough, and Eastgate Manor, Stocksfield, Northumberland.
