Zest Group after a gruelling treck over the Pennines

The Zest Group continue to work hard for charity as they successfully complete a 23 mile mountain bike challenge over Pennine terrain in support of the Overgate Hospice in Elland.

The Hospice works hard to care for adults and children with life-limiting illnesses and Zest have supported this essential care by raising over £750. The team are hoping the figure will be more as they continue to count the donations still coming in.

Craig Kershaw, Zest team rider says: “We completed this challenge last year and thought we knew what to expect! Little did we know the course would be different and with the summer rain we encountered, swollen rivers, plenty of mud and dislodged rocks; it certainly made it interesting.

“We thank everyone for giving so generously and helping us all push that little bit harder to the finish line.

The Zest team completed the course successfully without injury. Many of the team members beat their ride times form last year and one member completed the course in under three hours – many pros didn’t even make that time.
