Care Services Minister Paul Burstow has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at the ECCA 2012 Conference & Exhibition which will be held on Wednesday, 7 November at the Bloomsbury Holiday Inn, London.
The Conference, which carries the title, ‘White Paper. Right Paper?, will provide an ideal opportunity for the Minister to reassure providers that the failure by successive governments to act effectively on the funding of social care is now being addressed by the Coalition. Other heavyweight sector speakers will follow Paul Burstow onto the podium and make their contribution to the debate on modernising social care that the White Paper will trigger.
Says ECCA Chief Executive, Martin Green, ‘The requirement for serious reform of the current system is more pressing than ever, so the content of the White Paper will be the subject of close scrutiny. Care providers are working hard to maintain high service standards but their task is becoming ever more difficult, so we look forward to hearing more from Paul Burstow about the Government’s commitment to a sustainable funding system..’
Over 250 delegates are expected to attend this important sector event which will also feature seminars and an exhibition of products and services from leading care home suppliers.
‘The English Community Care Association (ECCA) is the largest representative body for community care in England. Working on behalf of small, medium and large independent care providers, it speaks with a single unified voice on behalf of its members and the sector. It seeks to create an environment in which providers can continue to deliver and develop the high quality care that communities require and deserve’.
